Good morning, to everyone I am Simran Shrivas and today i discuss about very interesting topic which is “cyber security”.

Lets be start!! Some introduction..

Introduction

The safety of computer systems and networks from theft or harm to their hardware, software, or electronic data, as well as from interruption or misdirection of the services they provide, is computer security, cybersecurity, or information technology security (IT security).

What does cyber security mean?

here, I am discussing about the introduction that what is the actual meaning of cyber security.

Cybersecurity is the art of protecting networks, computers and data from unauthorised access or criminal usage, and the practise of ensuring that information is confidential, integral and accessible.

Vulnerabilities and attacks

A flaw in design, execution, process, or internal control is a vulnerability. The Famous Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) database documents most of the vulnerabilities that have been found. A vulnerability that can be exploited is one for which there is at least one working attack or “exploit.

Information security culture

Employee actions in companies can have a major effect on information security. Cultural principles may help various segments of the company work efficiently or work within a company towards productivity against information security. The culture of information security is the “… entirety of conduct patterns in an organization that leads to the defense of all kinds of information.”Andersson and Reimers (2014 ) discovered that workers do not really see themselves as part.

Impact of security breaches

Severe financial loss has been incurred by breaches of security, but since there is no common model for calculating the cost of an incident, the only available data is that several computer security consulting firms generate estimates of total worldwide losses attributable to virus and worm attacks and generally hostile digital acts. These firms’ loss estimates for 2003 range from $13 billion (worms and viruses only) to $226 billion (for these firms)
